I filled out and submitted the Gateway to Prep Schools application and all the recommendations have been submitted too. However, on one of my school's status pages the current transcript shows up as not received. All the other school report related items are in.

Does this probably mean that the school hasn't checked in the transcript, but it was received? Or it could have been never sent? And does Gateway's school report include a part where you must upload the transcripts in order to submit the form?

Yes, it usually means that the school is so inundated with checklist items that it’s taking a few days for each applicant’s info to be entered into the Gateway system. If it doesn’t show up after the weekend, assuming it’s been more than a few days or a week, you can check with the school’s admissions office. We found such was best done by email. Some schools will even say it can take a few weeks.

If you uploaded the forms through the Gateway system, and the same forms show up in other schools’ checklists, the school in question probably has it. But it doesn’t hurt to check, unless you have had an email from a particular school saying that “it can take longer to process, and please don’t ask until (some later specified date).”

The most likely situation is that your school has sent transcript that included grades up until the last academic years but not the grades from the most recently completed marking period. I’d suggest you immediately ask your school to send the latest transcript by email and you follow up by sending hard copies.
