Schools for 3.6 GPA/2080 SAT?

Try for colleges in the Patriot League: Colgate, Bucknell, Holy Cross, etc
They are a slight reach but all excellent LACs with good academics with division 1 sports.

Holy Cross, Villanova.

Universities:

 1. BC
 2. NYU
 3. Fordham
 4. Northeastern
 5. Villanova
 6. Binghamton (only if cost is a concern)

LACs (if you’re into this type of school):
Skidmore
Holy Cross
Franklin & Marshall
New Jersey
Connecticut College

If you like Williams, check out Hobart and William Smith. It would be a target for you, and it is beautiful and a great school. They offer alot of non-need based scholarships as well.

If you would consider going to the midwest, look at Ohio Wesleyan. Again a target for you, great education with nice scholarship opportunites.

Hartwick, St Lawrence are other possibilities.

Good Luck!

Union College (NY)

I’ll answer the question more generally.

Here’s where I think your 3.3uw 3.6w GPA, rigorous curriculum, and 1300ish SATs would put you into a match range:

USNWR National Universities: Match at about 80. Range of about 50 - 100 – where 50 is a plausible reach
USNWR LACs: Match at about 40. Range of about 25 - 70
USNWR Regional Colleges: Match at about #3 on each list, range of 1-7 or so.

Now is the time for YOU to look into those ranges for all three categories and think about the above listed three category ranges. IDEAL college experience would be composed of.

If your parents can pay full boat, you can almost match to the smaller number in your range. If you will need financial aid, the match slides toward the larger number in your range (unless the school specifically states on its FA website that it is “Need Blind” in admissions.

P.S. to check how your exact stats compare to applicants accepted/rejected to each college you like, go to www.collegedata.com, then find the Admission Tracker section, then input the college you want, and look at a Scattergram of accepted/declined. Remove from the pulldown options the data points Legacy/Athlete and ED/EA – they aren’t relevant to your chances.
