<p>Entomom - I read in another thread that Washington U. in St. Louis is one of the few schools that does not reduce their need based aid award to students who receive 'outside" merit based scholarships. I believe you have a S/D that attends. Is this true and do you know of others that do not as well?</p>

I'm afraid I can't help as my D doesn't attend WUSTL. I just checked their website and found it very frustrating. They don't seem to have a FA website separate from admissions and they really don't give useful details about any thing at all! My advice is to call or email them and ask specifically how they deal with outside scholarships and their need based FA.</p>
