Schools that don't require counselor recs?

<p>What Tier 1 schools (HYPMS, CIT, JHU, WUSTL etc...) don't require counselor recs?
My school allows for only 6 applications to private schools... they'd rather have everyone go to UCB. we have one counselor per 500 students. Where can i apply on my own (without school approval)?</p>

<p>Nowhere. You also need an official copy of your transcript–which I assume you can’t get without your school knowing.</p>

<p>If u have the UCs to choose from, 6 private schools should be more than enough in addition to them since u can use lesser UCs as safeties.</p>

<p>thats a bummer dude…i have similar predicament-my counselers is a dumby and im worried about the rec she will write .</p>
