It’s not to late at some of the lesser known schools to receive FA. If you are a great student they may still have some money available. They may not be able to offer full FA. I know just last week we had a call from a school with rolling admissions and the Director of FA wanted to know how much we needed to go to that school. Then today we had a call from another school. So look past the top 20 or so schools and see if there is a school that may be a fit for you.

We started this process at the end of January and I knew nothing about BS. For us I think this was the best situation because we looked at schools based on what they could offer us socially and academically and not based on the rank.

One other thing - some schools will use SAT or PSAT scores in place of SSAT.

you can apply anywhere late. a panelist at the hotchkiss revisit said that he applied during the summer and was accepted, two weeks before school that year had started. they chose him even though they still had a full waitlist of kids that still wanted to go. soo… theres always a chance.

musicallylatin - did you take your state standardized tests? If so these may also work at some of the schools. Do a search for schools that don’t require SSAT.

I believe that the SSAT can be administered by an educational consultant on an individual basis if there’s no official test happening. Someone on the board may have better info than I do.
