Hi, I am a high school freshman with good grades and who is interested in science. Can you guys please tell me any good science summer camps that I am eligible for?

if you live in NC you can go to summer ventures but there are many, are you looking for internships or for a paid program?
Boston University has great summer programs. Here’s a link to them: http://www.bu.edu/summer/high-school-programs/
I have a family friend who went there and he just got accepted into MIT early action. Of course that summer program wasn’t his ticket into MIT but it certainly didn’t hurt him. Plus BU is in Boston which gives plenty of access to labs.
Thank you guys for responding by the way
Sydneympm: Both an internship and a paid program are fine, and I live in New York
goldenfygg: There are multiple programs at BU, do you know which one your friend went to?
You may not be quite old enough yet but look into Operation Catapult at Rose-Hulman and Explosives Camp at Missouri Science and Technology.
Here’s a list of programs that MIT recommends. Many of them are for rising juniors and seniors, but SSTP at the University of Iowa let a rising sophomore apply and he got in. This program is particularly good if you are looking for a research experience.
Operation Catapult is for after junior year only. If you think you might want to be an engineer, keep it on your list for the future; it is a good place to explore that option.
Think about Summer@Brown, I’m also applying there. Thinking about doing a neuroscience course! Has anyone heard about Northeastern’s summer programs?
Look into PAN (Physics of Atomic Nuclei); there are two different sections at MSU and Notre Dame. The program lasts one week and is completely free except for potential travel costs. I attended this past summer, so ask me if you have any questions.

Also look into COSMOS in California. It’s a semi-prestigious (possibly even prestigious) summer program that has different sections helf at four different UC campuses. Anyone can apply, though rising juniors and seniors are given preference for admission.
