what was the answer to the n! math question???

N was 6 so 5! was 120. I had no idea for the matrix or the one that looked like an arrow and had you find the angle after you knew that two of the other angles were 40 and 72.

Yeah i got 6 for the matt and jill one as well

the n! was 6

yea the science was the hardest part... i took ap bio instead of physics... which sucks... and the last reading passage was hard... i had to guess a lot because i didnt have time to find specific details... math was pretty bad imo but i hate math... english was a breeze

the 2nd to last science passage was really hard....the one with ClO, NO, and O3........

The last science graphs were insane!!! (why did i even do them instead of other!!!???) especially in combination with electricity and magnetism

Question about the first reading passage, I read it and realized that I didn't remember anything...yet just had to move on...what did you put for the first question on him being adult...did u put seeing how things have changed in China since his childhood?

wing wing school supplies?

I think I did very well in English, okay in Math and Reading, and probably horrible in science -- I didn't get to complete the last section. I was surprised with my essay though. At school, I could barely put together a complete and well thought out essay in less than 30 minutes, but I managed to do it this time with time to read over (except for the fact that I noticed that I wrote ritualist instead of ritualistic and didn't have time to change it). I'm hoping for a 30.

hoping for a 34. My proctor was a jerk. He wouldn't let me erase a stray mark. The whole time he kept fidgeting with his digital watch.

I'm looking out for the best for all of us--don't talk about the questions because what's done is done. Just talking about it can be torment, especially if you find out you got something wrong. Save yourselves the skulking. Besides, it will come out online in ten days.

I hope I can get 36 haha, but that probably wont happen.
I like to skulk around after tests though :P, the past two SATs I've taken = do nothing for the whole weekend basically...

Can anyone (maybe who has taken it before) verify a possibility of a science curve (like 39/40 = 36 scaled), or are all ACTs really that brutal (39 = 34 scaled, 38 = 32 scaled etc)?

kski - not sure if we can discuss yet - but I don't think it was how things have changed in China...hes in SF. I put the first choice, which was how experiences made his childhood in Chinatown interesting.

durak1234 - i didn't put any answer containing wing wing supplies (i think there was one question that alluded to it)

Science - specifically the question with geese and endothermic *** lol, i only knew its definition in terms of chemical reactions...

So the answer was for science one was:??????
Yes, because geese are endotherms (yes as in increases bacteria level)

Haha I had 2 minutes left when I got to the science portion and I saw that there wasn't a huge description so I was like sweet I might finish. But the graph made no sense and I ended up bubbling randomly for most of them. The geese one was tricky too...

Same exact thing with me rainmaker, ugh! I don't know if reading the little paragraph at the top would have helped...I was just so confused with it haha

the geese is pretty easy. Well if uve taken env. science u know geese poop = coliform bacteria. And it says that only endorthermic animals create whatever. But i can see how it could be hard if u didnt know that

This was my first ACT and I found myself going slower than I did on the practice test. I did well on english - only "educated guessing" on no more than 5, but for science and reading I'm gonna have to say I selected the same bubble for 7-10 straight answers because of time constraints. I expected math to be a little easier. I randomly guessed on 3-4 and educated guessed on 3-4 as well..essay was not too bad, i went in completely blind considering i signed up on the last day of the late deadline. I only completed one practice test and did not know many tips, especially for the essay...so, anyone want to give me some essay pointers?

Wow science was so much easier then Oct

Ugh, the reading section was a pain. I couldn't concentrate at all. Im sure I did horrible on that. The science (graph) part was easy but that one question with the term in it that I didn't know ****ed me off, it showed up twice.

English was okay, not harder than usual.
Math was slightly harder; the Matt and Jill problem stumped me.
Reading owned me. Had to guess on three problems.
Science owned me. Finished with barely any time left.

Last Science problem: multiply or divide?

Oh mighty ACT gods of Iowa, please make the Reading and Science curves more lenient!
