Hi, I applied for an October 15th deadline (HS Senior) and have 8 EA deadlines. I sent scores to colleges around October 13th and after two weeks, they have not arrived at my Oct. 15th school (subsequently leads me to believe they are not at any of my other EA schools either). All of my EA schools have requirements for November 1st, so sending the scores initially left me with no worry, but their delay in arrival is freaking me out. Is this ok?
College Board says it takes 1-2 weeks to send scores after they are requested, and schools typically accept scores either daily or weekly. Then each school has a process to process the scores and reflect them on a student info portal. So 1-3 weeks until they Re recorded and maybe a little longer until you see that they have been received.
Many schools will accept scores after the application due date, as long as the application is otherwise complete by the deadline,
I probably wouldn’t recommend waiting until 10/13 to request scores, especially for a 10/15 application, but that’s in the past. There’s not really anything you can do now - worrying won’t change anything and the schools will likely process your application when the scores are in, even if after 11/1. It’s not like they read and decide on every application the morning of 11/2.
We sent scores early in September and they didn’t show up at the schools until mid October so it took more than 4 weeks.
Just curious…Were these ACT or SAT scores?
@MAmom111 ours were SAT scores.
@RichInPitt @thedreamydaisy @MAmom111 Thank you for these replies. I made a more detailed post of the update situation, which unfortunately has gotten a tad worse.
It took over 4 weeks for one school to get my son’s ACT score. I was pretty surprised by that.
give it at least 2 weeks (minimum)
