Screwed up my 1st semester of sophomore year... Is Stanford still possible?

Okay, so I just checked my GPA on my transcript after 2nd semester sophomore grade...
Unweighted GPA= 3.78

I took all of "strong" or honors classes possible.
Freshman year = English H, Biology H, Geometry H
Sophomore year = Precalc H, Physics H, AP World History, English H

We have a block schedule (8 classes total).

During Freshman year I got straight A's for first semester but messed up 2nd semester so I got one B.

During Sophomore year I totally screwed up first semester because of my brother had some mental/suicidal issues so my whole family was just messed up so much with his issues & the only one who can speak English fluently in our family is only me (our family came to U.S. 5 years ago)

Second semester I tried my best and got all A's but one B in physics H.

I'm taking four AP classes my Junior year:
AP Calc AB
AP Lit
AP Physics C
AP US History

& involved in tons of extra curriculars (orchestras, NHS, SkillsUSA) with a few leadership positions (President+ concertmaster in Orchestra, Historian in SkillsUSA, Vice Prez. in Anime club)

& involved in sports too (2 years of school swim team since freshman year, making it 4 years at the time of my graduation)

with 4+ years of internship & another internship coming up this summer.

If I DO (hopefully) get 4.0 GPAs throughout my Junior year, I'm ending up with 3.94 GPA for my transcript. I have a mock ACT comp. score of 25 and 1800 in SATs (I know it sucks) but I'm planning to get 2200+ on SATs and 32+ on ACTs this summer.

TL;DR - Do you think I can get into Stanford with unweighted 3.78 GPA & my situation? And should I include what happened (family issues) in my Sophomore year in the essays?

No.

Just kidding - you don’t need a perfect GPA to get into the Ivy League schools. I know someone this year with a 3.92 going to MIT, so it’s not the end of the world. Personally, I wouldn’t mention it in your essay, it’s not worth the space - put something VALUABLE in there. If anyone should be explaining your so called “bottom-feeder-tier” GPA then have it be your counselor.

Just do some AMAZING ECs and you’ll be able to compensate for it, guaranteed.

Also, those ACT scores won’t fly…hope you’re serious when you say 32+.

Hope I helped!
