yeah… same here
Good advice…thanks.
I was offered $36k off of need based aid
Well interesting …can I ask what your EFC was?
Sorry what does efc stand for
Expected family contribution
That’s actually what I’ve been trying to look for, do you know where I can find that amount
go to college financing plan and it should be at the top
Beat me to it
LOL im stalking this thread rn cuz im rlly concerned about my award
Does it specifically say efc or is it titled something else because I can’t find it
Wait never mind it says based of fafsa it’s says $2,566 a yr
did you receive any merit based? why is the gap between our financial awards so big when theres a 3000 gap between our efcs hm
Definitely call.
So where it says based of fafsa then does that price represent what I would pay out of packet? And for other aid I was offered the pell grant for 3,600 the cal grant for 9,000 and two loans totaling to 5,500
your out of pocket cost should be your net cost and its under the “college costs you will be required to pay” i dont think that includes work study and federal loans though
Yeah that says 26k
I wouldn’t assume it is for all four years. The letter refers to their website but this is all it says for ours.
"SCU Dean’s Scholarship
- Merit-based
- No CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE or FAFSA required
- Awards: Vary
- Renewable for 12 consecutive academic quarters
- Must meet satisfactory academic progress
- Not indexed to tuition increases
- Full-time enrollment and any other renewal criteria
- Coordinated with federal, state and other University aid
- Recipients selected at time of admission
- Courses will count towards fulfilling degree requirements
- If degree requirements have been fulfilled, adjustments will be made to award"
No fine print.
If you click “summary” thats the total for one year. You can click one of the semesters (like fall2021) and see that it’s then divided in three.
We have a high EFC and that’s listed next to the FAFSA line but the next line “institutional method” says $0? Weird
Received $18,000/year Dean’s Scholarship and
$2,800/year Bronco Scholarship
