I got into all 3, but I am more leaning towards cal state fullerton, as I love the area, and it is wayy cheaper than Chapman. Originally, my heart was set on San Diego State, but my parents will not let me go there(they think it is a party school), and I think I am just wondering if CSUF is a good choice? or would I be missing out by not going to Chapman or SDSU? Thank you soo much in advance. For sdsu and csuf, I applied as a criminal justice major, and Chapman as a political science major. (also, this is my first time using this website, so I apologize in advance if there are any formatting issues, or if I posted this in the wrong place.)
SDSU use to have a party school reputation like 20 years ago so much has changed from those days. If it was a party school, would it the 2nd most difficult admit among all the Cal states? My younger son attend SDSU and yes if you want to find a party, you can find one but that is true for any college. If you are not into the party scene, there are plenty of like minded students. It is pretty easy to find your tribe.
SDSU also has a 2 year on-campus living requirement and even though there are still commuters, it does not feel like a commuter school which is common to many Cal states. First-year students living in campus housing: 69%
CSUF on the other hand does have commuter feel and not many Freshman live on-campus. First-year students living in college housing: 31%
CSUF is a good school for Criminal Justice and if you and your parents are happy with that choice, then no reason to second guess yourself.
Chapman, although another good school, if costs are an issue, I would pass.
Best of luck with your decision.
Thank you so much! that honestly made me feel so much more confident about my decision
