Took a prospective student campus tour and I am looking at SDSU as my top choice for computer science to apply in Fall 2018. (Out-of-state)
I don’t know my CSU GPA but I take only honors classes and have about a B Average (3.04 GPA).
My ACT is a 32 Composite with a 33 Superscore.
My Eligibility Index is about 938 without using my CSU GPA.
Does this make me competitive for Comp Sci admissions? How does SDSU calculate Honors classes towards CSU GPA? What is the average EI for Comp Sci out of state?
Think around an EI of 1100 to be competitive.
Not all HS designated Honors courses are approved for the extra Honors points in the CSU/UC GPA calculation. You can check which courses taken 10-11th grade that will get you the Honors points here. Just type in HS name.

I like to use this calculator and your capped weighted UC GPA= the CSU GPA.

They don’t have my school im out-of-state
Then only AP/IB or Dual Enrollment courses taken 10-11th grades will be counted for the extra Honors points.
so local Honor classes do not count?
Not if you are out of state.
What about first semester of senior year, do they take that into consideration? I am taking 3 AP classes next year.
Other than completing the a-g courses, Sr course-load and GPA are not factors in the admission process.
