Which years does SDSU take into consideration??

Hi
I've been seeing a bunch of people post that SDSU only looks at 10th and 11th grade grades for GPA. I believe I read on their website that they look at 10th-12th (including 12th). Can someone please confirm which is true?? My first semester senior year grades could really help me out...
Please let me know!!! Thank you!!!

The CSU GPA calculation is based on your grades for the a-g required courses in your 10-11th grade only. You can get up to 8 extra honors points for 4 AP’s or UC approved Honors courses based on your high school. Here is a link for the calculation: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

Senior courses will be listed on your application as in-progress and you list your Freshman grades but they not used in the calculation (exception Cal Poly SLO which uses 9th grades). Your Sophomore/Junior grades will get you in but Senior grades will keep you in since you are accepted provisionally and have to maintain a certain GPA in your Senior classes. My younger son is currently attending SDSU and after he was accepted, SDSU did ask for his Mid-year grades to be sent by May 1.
SDSU (like most Cal States) will use an eligibility index to rank the applicants in their major and will accept starting with the highest EI down until all the spots are filled.

Here is the calculation for EI: (CSU GPA x 800) + (SAT Math + SAT CR) or (CSU GPA x200) + (ACT composite x10)
An EI for SAT around 4000+ or ACT of 1000+ is very good. It will also depend upon your major.

That equates to about better than a 3.6 CSU GPA and 1200 M&R SAT or 29 ACT.

The threshold will be lower if your HS is designated ‘local’ and may be higher for OOS.

I should also add - if you don’t have your a-g courses complete, you will be rejected regardless of your marks and scores.
Good luck
