SEAS Math Recommendation Issue

<p>I've read several threads on CC before saying that the math recommendation rule can be bent, as people have supplanted their comp sci or science teacher recommendation in place of this. I don't know if they got rejected for this or not though.</p>

<p>Now I have two options, since my math teacher hasn't done my letter of rec yet (Invited to commonapp, hasn't started)
1. Remove him from the commonapp rec form and submit (Have comp sci and humanities rec anyways). This would be awkward since, well, I asked him to write a rec. </p>

<li>Don't remove him from the commonapp rec form and submit (Hope he finishes by Jan 4). This may look worse if he doesn't fill it out by then though, will it not? </li>
