Hey you guys need a little bit of help here. So in the fall or winter I’m planning on going to a cc in Seattle. My choices are Shorline, Edmonds, north Seattle , central Seattle and walla walla. What I want to know is which one is the best if I want to study computer science and eventually transfer to Wsu? I’m open to any suggestions and other Seattle cc that are not on my list as well thanks.
Why is Walla Walla on the list? It is in southeastern Washington, over 250 miles from Seattle (https://www.sbctc.edu/our-colleges/explore-colleges/default.aspx). This link includes links to all the Washington CCs. Also, you might want to add Cascadia to the list, as it is closer to Seattle than Edmonds. Also, consider Bellevue, one of the biggest and most comprehensive CCs in Washington, and not that far from Seattle. I work at Everett CC, the next college north of Edmonds, about 25-30 miles north of Seattle. We have a good Computer Science program, but you may not want to travel that far if you are living in Seattle.
I think that Bellevue, North Seattle, Edmonds and Cascadia all have good Associate’s degree programs that will lead to a transfer to a Baccalaureate Computer Science program.
Finally, FYI, WSU has a BS program in Software Engineering in Everett (https://everett.wsu.edu/majorsdegrees/software-engineering/), a little further north than Edmonds, and across the street from Everett CC (my college). And, UW has a BS in Computer Science & Software Engineering in Bothell, on the same campus as Cascadia CC (https://www.uwb.edu/css).
Agree with above that there is something “off” in your sense of Washington geography. Are you coming from out of state? You do realize WSU is not near Seattle, right?
If you’re considering Walls Walla as close enough, take a good look at Cascadia, Everett, and Bellevue as places where you could get a CS degree while staying on the same campus as where you start.

I’m coming from out of state. So it wouldn’t matter where I go.
What state are you coming from? (WUE?)
Do you really have no geographical preference between eastern and western Washington?
I am coming from Portland, Oregon it’s just a little drive
And I don’t really have a preference
So why a community college then? If you can get into WSU, they will give you a WUE discount. Also take a look at Central Washington and Western Washington.
