second semester grades...

i have a question...

i have been accepted to UF, but i am freaking out just a bit, because i am doing really badly in my spanish class right now...

spanish is my definite weak spot in my grades...i have never gotten an A in it throughout high school...i have gotten Bs if im lucky, and actually ive gotten Cs some of the time too

anyways, right now unfortunately i have a 61 in the class....and obviously im going to try as hard as possible to pull it up...

but what if i was to end up with a D? would UF take back my acceptance? what about an F? (as much as i dont even want to consider that)

a few things to consider...

im in IB, so i am forced to be taking this class...and its IB spanish 5, so it really is difficult, im truly not slacking in the class...so will they take into consideration that its a hard course?

also, none of my other grades have dropped...will that help me?

I know someone who got accepted last year and did really bad in AP physics (as in got D's and F's) and is still here. Wasn't even in IB either, so don't worry about it, it's most likely a scare tactic.

"...but what if i was to end up with a D?"

...I've obviously been spending too much time at CC these days. I read that question as "but what if i was to end up with a daughter?" and I was like "***?!"

IMO - If the rest of your grades are still good and the course is not required for admission or graduation, most likely there will be no repercussions for one low grade but it is still best to try hard to get the grade up to a minimum C if at all possible.

thanks everyone...im hoping that you are right...

" ...I've obviously been spending too much time at CC these days. I read that question as "but what if i was to end up with a daughter?" and I was like "***?!" "

HAHA!!
thats funny

im kind of new here....why do people always write "D" and "S" anyways?

They really only care if you go from like straight A's to straight D's and F's...

And I think people right D and S as just a short hand way of saying daughter and son so they dont have to write it out everytime they say it.

yeah, i guess...its just weird how its so customary to shorten those two words...especially since son is only 3 letters...haha
