Secondary School Report

Hey guys,

This commonapp secondary school report is really confusing me. They want my old high school counselor to write a recommendation? And they want my "current year courses" ... as in my college courses? How is that relevant to my highschool???

Thanks in advance!

The SSR for transfers is identical to the SSR for fr admissions, except that it is titled a final report rather than mid-yearish. The current year coursework they’re asking for is your sr yr of HS, yes it’s redundant as they will be listed on your transcript, but they just didn’t want to dink with the form is my guess. Unless you’ve been out of HS several years, they should still have the GC rec that was sent with your fr admissions and will just resend that.

ah ok, that makes sense…

but then the college transcript report has the same boxes. So I’m guessing I print a copy of the secondary school report out (with the senior courses in), and then refill-in the boxes on the common app with my college courses for my college transcript report?

By the way, did you get my message?

Thanks again

Yes, the SSR will have your HS sr year courses and the College Official’s form will have your current years courses.

I did get your message and will respond soon, I promise. D1 is still on break so I’ve been bouncing around doing different things and wanted to give your PM some thought.
