Seeking guidance for computer science

Kindly guide me on pros and cons about UC to choose

  1. I have been admitted to UC Berkeley Letters and Science (undeclared major can declare Major as computer science if I can maintain a good gpa in core computer courses)
  2. UC San Diego Revelle (computer science)
  3. UC Davis (computer science) with regents scholarship

Pros for each:

UC San Diego → You are already in CS, and it is an excellent program

UC Berkeley → The best CS program, and gets the most recruiting attention by a long shot

UC Davis → Really good CS program and will be the cheapest for you by the looks of it.

UCB L&S CS requires a 3.3 GPA in CS 61A, 61B, 70. You can see the grade distributions at https://www.berkeleytime.com/grades/?course1=2321-all-all&course2=2323-all-all&course3=2327-all-all . About half of CS 61A and 70 students earn B+ or higher grades, while the percentage earning B+ or higher grades is somewhat higher in CS 61B.

But if you want to attend UCB for L&S CS, be sure to consider your backup major plans if you do not get into the L&S CS major. If you want to be certain of being in the CS major, choose one of the schools where you have direct or assured admission to the major.

Thank you for your guidance
