Seeking VERY Honest Opinion.

Loncria.
Thanks lol. I’ll try my best…
’ Yes, you in to all except for all. ’
What?

Haha, that makes no sense whatsoever.

ptlazarus: Np. Math is the easiest to work on too, btw. Only a matter of practice.
Actually, you have to qualify for need-based aid in order to receive the scholarship so yes, you should apply for aid.
Yeah, but nearly everyone in India wants to do engineering. During my year at Aditi, people ONLY talked about engineering or business haha.
BTW, I remember reading about this girl (on CC) from India who ended up with full-aid from Tufts (which is renowned for it’s stinginess in International financial aid). So, don’t worry, you still have a chance with need-aware schools!
I actually recommend looking into Harvey Mudd College. A guy from my class received pretty decent aid there.

You already made a chance thread. In that thread you inflated your SAT’s. And you claim your school doesn’t send GPA’s, while in that thread you provide your GPA’s.

Lame.

“I remember reading about this girl (on CC) from India who ended up with full-aid from Tufts (which is renowned for it’s stinginess in International financial aid).”

I find it ironic that Tufts is extra stingy with their international aid considering they’re all about International Relations and globalization and whatever haha.

PrincetonDreams
Okay, that clarified something! So I will be needing to apply for aid. But that’s cool, they are need blind to internationals…
People are crazy about engineering here. :expressionless:
It’s like, if we have a son, it’s engineering. Daughter, then medical! :stuck_out_tongue:
Things are changing, changing fast now…Thank God for that.

Harvey Mudd? Yeah it’s a very interesting college. It’s a liberal arts college that specializes in physics and sciences. But the degree that they give, is that a liberal arts degree or engineering one?

BigTicket
The GPA thing? I googled ‘how to convert your scores into GPA’ and did that. Kinda lame. But now I know, that you don’t have to ‘create’ a GPA, when you don’t have one. lol

and what about the SAT?

From Wikipedia:
Harvey Mudd College’s mission is to educate scientists, engineers, and mathematicians to be well-versed in the social sciences and humanities so that they better understand the impact of their work on society. The college offers four-year degrees in chemistry, mathematics, physics, computer science, biology, and engineering, as well as interdisciplinary degrees in mathematical biology, and a joint major in either computer science and mathematics; or biology and chemistry.

I don’t know much about Harvey Mudd and I am not exactly sure how much aid that guy got but he seemed pretty happy with it so I am guessing it was decent.

lol, so true about that South Asian way of thinking. I’ve lived in two south asian countries and the thinking is exactly the same. talk about journalism or film-making and people flip out lol.

It doesn’t exactly beat the purpose of having an international studies program. They just aren’t wealthy enough to afford a lot of internationals haha.

Busted lazarus, ■■■■.

lol Could’ve been a typo, Ticket!

A difference of 2190 and 2230 result isn’t a typo. It’s 6 different numbers combined.
