<p>My son chose "Register Me" when he filled out the FAFSA question about Selective Service, even though he is not yet 18. FAFSA didn't give the option of answering, "I'm only 17 and not required to register yet."</p>
<p>When he does turn 18 in a couple of months, is any further action required on his part to register with the Selective Service? Or will that be taken care of by the FAFSA?</p>
<p>I’m not sure, but when your son turns 18, I would go to this site and check to see if he got registered… <a href=“http://www.sss.gov/default.htm[/url]”>http://www.sss.gov/default.htm</a> click on “check a registration” It will let you know if your son got registered.</p>
<p>I used this awhile ago because I couldn’t remember if my older son had registered, he had…and this let me know. :)</p>
