Self reported or official SAT score?

Hey there! I noticed that some schools I applied to offer the option to either self-report scores or have an official report sent by the CollegeBoard. Is there a benefit to paying for scores to be sent, or is it just as effective to self report my scores? I also saw an option to self report scores and then submit a pdf from the CollegeBoard outlining the official test information. Given this option, should I stick with getting my scores sent by the CollegeBoard or just self reporting with the download?

I doubt this will have a very big impact on my applications, but anything helps

No. If the college accepts self reporting, the only one who benefit from paying for the score report is the CB.

Thanks! That makes sense

But most schools will want you to send official report to the school you decide to commit to at the end. So rem to send to the school you say yes to if only self reported during app submission.
