self reporting AP calc AB subscore

Junior year I took BC calc and I got a 5 on both BC and AB subscore. On CommonApp, they ask how many AP tests you’ve taken (I took 3) but AB subscore is listed on the dropdown. Should I report my AB subscore separately? To report it, I would have to say I took 4 AP tests, and I feel list it’s somewhat safe to assume if you got a 5 on BC, you got a 5 on the AB part as well.

Other question: when they ask on CommonApp how many AP tests you took/plan to take - that does not include tests you would take at the end of senior year, correct?

Personal preference. it won’t be a big deal either way, but I see no reason to report a subscore.

You cannot make that assumption.

It includes the exams you plan to take May of senior year.

Plan to take means exactly that. How many have you taken + how many do you plan to take.

Reporting the subscore is optional.

There was someone who posted on CC a while back that he had a 5 on BC but a 3 on the AB subscore. Not sure how that is possible, but…

@VickiSoCal @skieurope Ok that makes sense that I would include the exams I plan to take at the end of senior year. I was just confused because CA doesn’t have dates past 2018 to select as exam dates. I guess I’ll have to do that later.

That’s because the CA is not open for the new cycle yet. Once updated on 8/1, it will have 2019.

is it safe to start working on my supplemental essays before 8/1? @skieurope

If you know that the prompt for a particular collage will not change, or traditionally have not changed, then yes.
