<p>texas137, exactly the same situation here, and my son is in the perfect place for him - given his interests, academic style, temperament, and passionate EC-focus, I can't imagine anywhere else that would suit him better.</p>
<p>Reading this thread brings out the mourning I still feel that S1 turned down a full ride to a fine LAC; he also would have had all things paid at our state U (not such a big thrill) . . .but it seemed at the time that he really needed to get out of the state as a whole, to find out what else was out there in the world. I wonder, really wonder, what he would do if he had had the experience of this first semester to weigh in the mix. He is more a homebody than he thought! The experience of being many states away from here is going to shape him; somewhere along the road I just trust all will be well. And we are not broke yet, even though the aid at his chosen school was less generous than all of the others!</p>
