Senate Youth Program Help?

Is there anyone here that went to this program/got this scholarship? I’m planning to apply this year, but am wondering if anyone that has done it could provide any suggestions on how to get in?
I’m in Texas.

My resume is basically:
-Student government President (elected by whole school)
-Been in student council ever since grade 7.
-In student government, led a successful petition to change food provider.
-Volunteer for Americans for Prosperity for 2 years, and volunteered at their recent convention in Ohio.
-Planning to intern at a top constitutional law firm in CA this summer
-Planning to intern with local congresswomen this summer-and during autumn.
-Attending the National Student Leadership Conference - Public Policy this summer.
-Going to a Georgetown summer program this summer on national security
-Did some volunteering in Texas primary this year
-Achieve A’s in school
-This summer I will be running a program to young kids with disabilities at a conference.
-At my school, I have been regularly involved in clubs - becoming the head of our school’s mock trial club.

Is this ‘good enough’ in comparison to some others that have successfully applied, and what do you think I am missing or could do better?

I’m also really interested in the Senate Page program for next summer.

Is this the program you are interested in? http://ussenateyouth.org/

Yeah that’s the one - have you done it before?

I have some information on the Senate Page Program for you! I recently applied for the fall term myself, and I have a friend who was a page during the spring term. Apply for the summer for sure, and especially one of the school terms because they’re longer and you’ll get a better experience. Something that not many people seem to recognize is that you do get paid for the Senate Page program, it’s around $25,000 or so dollars, with some coming out per month for rent. But that itself can easily become a scholarship or savings, if you put away $10,000 that gives $15,000 during your page duties or whatnot. But, contact your senator’s office directly or email around to get information. One day I sat down and called 30 some offices trying to find information to better my chances. I sent in my application in February and find out June or July! But really, consider either one and you’ll do great!

I was a delegate this year and it was an amazing experience! I’d advise you to look into your state’s specific selection process. Some states use an interview, test, and/or essay.
Otherwise, I’d say your extracurriculars look great. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Good luck!

Hi! I am also interested in the Senate Page program. I have a few questions: Are you only allowed to do it during your junior year? I do a lot of extracurricular activities and if I am to advance in them, I have to stay at home. What is the summer session is like? Is it as good as the semester program, and is the experience as valuable? And do you get paid for the summer session? Thank you.

What was the experience like?
