My daughter just received her first marking period grades and she has applied SCEA. I know she has to send in a mid year report, but should she also send them her first marking period grades (they are stellar) for the committee to factor into her early action decision?
Harvard requires an “Official Transcript” from your daughter’s high school with her first making period grades. That’s because Harvard has gotten burned by accepting transcripts from student’s in the past and Admissions no longer trusts transcripts submitted by anybody but a guidance counselor. So, it’s best to wait for your daughter’s GC to send in the mid-year report. Virtually all SCEA applicant’s will be in the same situation as your daughter, so it won’t matter unless your daughter’s GC submits her first semester marking period grades.
