Will my ED school look at the first marking period grades of my senior year?

Hey guys, I’m most likely applying ED somewhere and was wondering if they will take into account my first marking period senior year grades. The ED application deadline is November 1, while my Marking Period 1 grades come out on November 4. If I manage to pull straight As or really good grades on my first marking period, do you think it would be possible to send them my first marking period transcript, even if it’s senior year? Thank you!

If the grades come out on time they might make it to the college before your record is considered. No guarantees.

@“Erin’s Dad” If they do come out on time, will they be automatically sent to my ED school, or will I have to manually send them? Or perhaps it just depends on my school…

When my D applied ED, the college (Cornell) called her GC, checking first Q grades.

When my D applied ED to Middlebury they too contacted her GC. Since our high school doesn’t post official grades until the end of the semester the GC had to give them a general idea according to Powerschool (but it was not an official report). No first quarter grades.

Ask your GC if your school automatically sends the grades.

When my daughter applied ED to Brown, they, too, contacted her guidance counselor for her current grades.

Yes, they definitely did for my D. The guidance counselor sent the first quarter grades.

My D’s ED school (Pomona) emailed her GC a few days before decisions came out, asking for grades in progress.

Thanks guys! this gives me hope  I still want to improve a lot for senior year!

Agree with @csdad, Cornell ED wanted 1st quarter grades, so Ds guidance counselor sent them through Naviance.
