so NYU is my last minute decision and i'm on christmas break...is it okay for me to send in my transcript after i submit my app?

It should be fine. As with your test scores, they will usually accept it a few days late. However, make sure you send them ASAP when school starts. They don’t start making decisions for a week or two after the deadline. Good luck!

okay so i should start my essays? not that they are lengthy as Rice’s

Of course you should start your essays (short answers), get them done! have someone you trust look over them and then send those puppies in!

Have a great holiday Break, good luck! I am approaching the end of the short answers, so I will try to talk to the counselors at school to send my stuff in sooner rather than later

clock,

Even though you probably can negotiate a little extra time for submitting the secondary school report, transcript, and recommendation letters everything else under your control, e.g., personal essay, short essays, etc. are due 1/1/11 for both RD and ED applications.

In fact, it is much better that you adhere as close to the deadline as possible for all materials, unless you cannot do so due to the holidays and school personnel being away.

evolving

yes we are on christmas break…plus it snowed heavily three days before the end of school, so i couldn’t go to the school to ask for my transcript even though i had already made up my decision…hope NYU understands my situation

I just called a couple of hours ago and they said that as long as the transcripts are postmarked around the day when we get back to school (for me that is January 3rd), everything will be fine!
