Sending essay sample= annoying or useful?

I've applied RD to 6 schools which may or may not have made their decisions already, however because I am not a typical student (I don't think I'm abnormally clever or anything, I'm just in a strange school situation!) the common app does not really do me justice.

I have 2 or 3 of my best essays written over the past two years that I would really like them to consider alongside my application as it will improve my chances. On the other hand, I know that admissions offices are swamped with paperwork right now and I don't want to annoy them. I know this is done sometimes if people are deferred ED, but I have no idea about RD.

So,
what is the normal practice?
and what do you think I should do?

Don't send them. It's too late in the process. If you wanted to send them, you should have done so earlier. Even then, unless a school specifically requested a graded paper, it is unlikely they would be read. Admissions officers have too many required essays to read to bother with optional ones.

I'd advise you to wait until you're wait-listed
