Sending in Transcripts

Hey, I'm going to be a freshman this fall, so my high school transcript must be sent to UCLA by July 15. Does my high school have to actually mail the transcript or could they give it to me in a sealed envelope and have me send it in myself? I ask because my counselor is completely irresponsible and I don't trust her to send it in on time.

Well if it’s in a sealed envelope and you send it I doubt they will test the envelope for your DNA… As long as UCLA gets an official sealed transcript then who sends it really doesn’t matter.

naw, i think the school has to send it.

You can either have it mailed via school or physically drop it off at undergraduate admissions office. As a matter of fact, I did both.

I think as long as the transcript is inside a sealed envelope, you could mail it by yourself or have the school send it.

Why don’t you do this to be absolutely on the safe side: Ask your school counselor or whatever to send your official transcript in a sealed envelope to UCLA and then ask the counselor to give you another transcript also in a sealed envelope then you can send it as well to UCLA…
Eh doesn’t sound like such a great idea anymore.
