Sending materials using USPS Delivery Confirmation... and no one signed for it.

Quick question, guys. I'm doing the art supplement so I sent everything in by the deadline. However, I sent one of my two art supplements in during Thanksgiving week and used delivery confirmation. I think there was signature confirmation or something included, but since it was Thanksgiving no one was there to sign for it and the USPS kept it. They left a note to Stanford telling them to pick it up.

2 questions: would Stanford actually bother going to the post office to pick it up? Also, does USPS "try again" after failure to delivery the first time?

Sorry if I'm being too general or if it's a stupid question. Since Stanford doesn't track supplementary materials I can't check on the status of whether or not it was "received".

they say not to use anything that requires a signature
yay for directions!

don’t know if they would bother.
but you can try to call even though they say not to.

Actually, I don’t find a reference to anything of that sort on the site, but I might just not be looking hard enough. Care to send me a link?

At any rate, USPS tried again on Monday according to their online tracking system, and Stanford signed for it.

Oh goodness…you’re scaring me…I sent my supplement the Monday of the week of Thanksgiving through USPS…it was in a 9x12 envelope…I hope it got there because I didn’t purchase delivery confirmation!
