does it make a difference if you send your subject test scores to schools that dont require them? would they just ignore them or do they take them into consideration? I'm applying to northeastern, umass amherst, and unh (hoping to get into honors college at umass and unh). My subject test scores are Biology M: 740 and world history: 640. if these schools do consider subject tests that weren't required, would my scores help or hurt at all????

Neither help nor hurt…:)

Depends on college. You have colleges that (a) require SAT IIs, (b)recommend but do not require them, (c) neither require nor recommend them but will consider them if sent, or (d) the majority that won’t consider them even if sent. Northeastern and UMass are two in the last group.
