Denison College is requesting that I send my family's income tax returns directly from the IRS from the IRS website and I cannot find it. Can anyone guide me through it or send me a link? Thanks so much for any and all help!

I don’t understand why someone hasn’t answered this already - they’re apparently asking you to use the IRS data retrieval tool, which is available through FAFSA. If you’ve already filed your 2012 tax return, the retrieval tool should become available shortly after you file. (How long it takes can vary depending on your circumstances . . . there’s actually a current thread on this forum addressing this question.)

But check with the Denison financial aid office and make sure this is what they’re asking you to do.

I had to file my FASFA and CSS PROFILE based on 2011 tax returns because I applied early decision to one of my schools and so I’m unable to update the FASFA like that. Denison says that if I’m unable to do so then I need to “request the 2012 IRS Tax Return Transcript which is available on the IRS Web site at [Internal Revenue Service](http://www.irs.gov) … Upon receipt of the IRS Transcript, the tax filer must submit it to our office to complete the verification process.”

You need to do your 2012 taxes.

[Order a Transcript](Get Transcript | Internal Revenue Service)

Here’s the link, but GCmom415 is right - you can’t order a transcript of your parents’ 2012 return if they haven’t filed it yet.

We have already filed our taxes. We filed them in early Feb. Thank you so much for the link!
