Senior admitted to cal poly slo... Major change?

I was recently admitted to cal poly as a math major, but I’ve had a change of heart since I applied and I realise I would much rather be a chemistry major. I absolutely love cal poly and I want to go there, is it possible to change into a chemistry major? I’ve heard it’s easier because they are both in the college of math and sciences? Thanks

Yes it is easier to change majors within the same college. See link for the procedure required to change majors. Also during orientation you can discuss your change with your advisor.

You may want to ask the department of the new major whether there are capacity controls that lead to GPA minimums or other restrictions on admission.
