Hey everyone :)

I was accepted ED, and I was hoping to drop my calculus class for a philosophy class this semester, but I had a feeling my request wouldn’t be approved since calc is an AP class. I emailed my admissions officer about my concerns, and sure enough she said that I would have to remain in calc to retain my admission, but that another change I needed to make–dropping Model UN for a mandatory speech class–would be totally okay. She also said I would be hearing directly from the dean himself. As a result, I am happily staying in calculus, but because of unavoidable scheduling conflicts, I had to drop MUN for that philosophy class I had originally wanted, and am now taking my speech course online. I emailed my officer about this latest change, but I have not received a reply from her or the dean except for an entirely separate generic email from the Admissions Office about “remaining in the courses indicated on the original application.”

What should I make of this? Originally the MUN drop was approved, but it was for speech, but I think that since AP Calc is still intact, I’m in the clear…What do you guys think?
