Senior Year Course Selection

I am a junior selecting classes for next year. During my sophomore year, I took 8 classes (3 of them were AP). This year, I am taking 6 classes, and all of them are AP. Would it look bad if, during my senior year, I only take 5 AP classes first semester and 4 AP classes second semester (no other classes)? Some of my classmates told me it does not look good to take such a small number of classes, but I argued that they are all challenging courses and that college admission offices will take into consideration that they are all AP. Also, should I take a science class all four years in high school, or am I fine as long as I take 4 science classes in total (but not all four years)? I took biology freshman year, chemistry sophomore year, and am currently in AP Physics and AP Environmental science. I do not want to take any more science classes next year. Would all of this make college admissions offices think that I am slacking off? Thanks in advance for the response.

The count of AP courses may be less important than which ones (and what other courses) and how well you do in them.

Thanks for the response. Do you think it is necessary for me to take a science class next year considering the fact that I’ve already taken 4, two of which were honors and the other two AP? Many people told me it looks bad if you don’t take science all four years.

Four years of science in high school should be fine if they include at least one each of biology, chemistry, and physics.
