at my high school we are allowed to take 5 academic classes and 1 mandatory PE and so far my schedule is going to look like:
ap calc bc
ap gov
ap lit
ap stats
and one other ap
i am trying to decide between independent study physics (i took ap physics c junior year) or ap psychology.
i know for a fact that i am not going to do anything with physics in college/career but i really really (reeeeally) enjoyed physics. however, i did get a b+ in ap physics c and that was a bit disappointing.
it is also going to be my senior year and ap psychology seems to require a lot bigger work load than independent study physics
what are you opinions on which class should i take?
While that’s highly dependent upon the teacher, intuitively, it would seem that the opposite should be true.
Regardless, take whichever one you think would be more beneficial or would enjoy more. Personally, I’d take the independent study in physics, but either choice is fine.
I would suggest AP Psychology as well. It will make you look more well-rounded since you already took physics, it’s an easier AP, and you do not want to do anything with physics. Maybe you’ll fall in love with psychology. Keep an open mind–the workload may be worth it.
Take AP Psych. BC, Lit and Gov are some of the more demanding APs, and it would balance out Stats in difficulty- 3 hard APs with 2 less difficult ones.
