I plan to take
AP Language
AP Literature
AP Statistics
AP Human Geography

I'm really debating on AP Biology or not. I struggled a lot in Honors, but that was before I took two AP classes and strengthened my ability to analyze. Also I hear the exam is like the science part of the ACT, but I scored high in that section and thought it was decently easy? And I'm not exactly the brightest lightbulb. Will it be too much? I'm hoping Lit & Lang will overlap as far as AP exam prepping, I know reading will be a challenge and that's why I'm asking if it's too much. I want to get a BA in English so I'm trying to get some basic classes out of the way. Human doesn't scare me at all. And Stats is the easy math to take but is it more like you see an example of a problem and repeat it, or you see basic ways to solve them use your knowledge to solve problems? Also I'm senior class president and apparently it takes a lot of time, I'm also on a very lazy key club, academic team, need to take the ACT, and two subject tests by December, so I know the beginning will be rough but I'm hoping I can stick it out.

Out of all of those, AP Biology is more memorization-based than any of the other choices. Are you interested or inclined to take biology? If you don’t you might find it more difficult. It’s different than ACT science which is more problem solving based. Have you taken an AP science before and scored well on the AP test? If so, that may already satisfy your GER for your school.

Both AP Englishes? May God/Yahweh/Allah/Mr. Krabs have mercy on your soul~

I took ap human freshman year and it was pretty easy. Ap bio I took sophomore year and it was mainly just memorization. Ap lang I took junior year and it was a lot easier than I expected. I thought there would be a lot of reading, but we only read two books throughout the whole school year and most of it was done in class. I had all three of these classes first period, so I honestly never paid attention and would just sleep and slack off during class I-) but I still managed to get A’s and 3’s on all the AP exams! I’m taking ap lit and ap stat next year and I heard in stat all you need to know is how to reason and work a calculator so that shouldn’t be too bad (although it’s a step down for me since I took ap calc). Not sure about ap lit though…

I’ve looked at AP Lang FRQs and I was able to answer them from this year so I’m not too worried about it. HG shouldn’t be bad, especially since I took APUSH.

@shawnspencer I took AP Chem this past year and made a 2. ONLY BECAUSE I did have a bad teacher and I know you can’t blame the teacher, but it was a lack of effort on my time. About a month before I studied my butt off, watching all these Bozemann videos, looking through the exam packet, and read two AP exam study books. And I still got a 2 I got a 4 on APUSH though! So I’m not stupid. It’s that my teacher for chemistry only taught us math and I had to try to relearn everything for the year. Only 4/25 people passed the AP exam in my class. But the AP Biology teacher is really good and we already learned everything from AP in honors, just not in as much depth. He also has over an 80% pass rate But it will be really time consuming so I don’t know. :/

I don’t think it’s too much if you can manage your time well. I took 6 ap classes this year and yes it was overwhelming sometimes (procrastination issues haha) but it was definitely manageable. I’ve only taken one of the ap classes on your list (lang) but from what I’ve heard from others human geography and stats are some of the easier ap classes offered. I can’t really comment on how difficult bio is going to be because at my school, while the class is not really challenging in terms of the material covered, the teacher gave out a lot of busy work so it was really time-consuming. The class was also very different from the ap test (class was too detail-orientated while the test focused on main concepts and ideas and its applications) so I had to study a lot on my own.

@amylase0 I’m really hoping AP Biology interrupts another one of my classes so I can drop it without getting a study hall Or maybe my teacher will have a free period, because I know she wouldn’t mind me being in there. I don’t want to take Biology. I get my schedule August 14
