Would you make it in time for either regular decision or early action? I think early action allows you to send in your scores late right?

I’d double check with the schools. The EA/ED deadline is 11/1 making the last acceptable testing date the October test date. I’m not aware of EA allowing students to send scores late. Why would you want to do that? Your file is not complete until everything is received and therefore is not read. You are putting your application to the bottom of the pile by doing this. A November test date means your test scores get there around Thanksgiving, leaving only a couple of weeks before decisions are released in December. If you are interested enough in a school to apply EA I think it would be a mistake to put your application on hold and at a possible disadvantage from the start. It’s certainly your choice, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

The November test date is fine for RD. You have time to see the scores online and send them manually, skipping the free reports if you choose.

Nov and even Dec and for many Jan test date is fine for regular admission. For EA (or ED), you need to check with each college to determine whether they accept Nov scores. Majority (e.g., Yale) accept through Nov as long as you have scores sent automatically upon release such as designating the school as a free send, minority (e.g., Stanford) require all testing to be completed by Oct.

As what the previous posters said, check with each college.

I’d question January being fine. The January release is generally the third week which is after the deadline of 1/1 or 1/15. Be very careful and check with each individual school. All the schools my kids have applied to stipulated that all materials were due by 1/1 or 1/15.
