I'm currently at high school, and looking for a university to get into.
A classmate of mine told me about Seoul National University(SNU) and got interested with it.
I already researched about this university.
I am planning to apply next year to SNU. But i'm worried if i'll be accepted or not. :(
I heard that it is difficult to get into SNU, and the university has the acceptance rate of 0.5%.

btw, I'm from Philippines. I study at Pagadian City Science High School. One of the pioneering students of our school. yeah, our school is new. Talking about our school's curriculum and system, it is the same with other science high schools in the Philippines.

I am an honors student. (1st in rank). My grades are also high.
What are my chances?
Do you think I'll be accepted?

I don’t know your chances, but Seoul National University is like Harvard. I think it’s the number 1 school in South Korea. But you should go for it anyways, I mean there is nothing to lose, right?

right! thanks for replying!
I’ll try anyway.

Do you know the language? Its an important factor.

You mean Korean Language? Not really. Actually I’m still learning it.

SNU uses a lot of English in their courses, activities but knowing Korean is a big factor as well (Since you will be living in Korea, right? )

If you want to go to school in Korea as a full time student, and not like exchange student, you should really know korean well enough to listen to classes. I’m Korea btw and my friends in college says they have so many foreign students who don’t know a single word in Korean, hence cannot follow the classes and eventually just bother classes and hangout by themselves or in the same national groups. So to avoid that, U should really learn Korean.
