CNI: May I ask WHY you think that only 3 survive? Nobody has yet mentioned this.

All 4 have values below Jupiter's escape velocity, which is 9.9

dang ppl! you guys still remember those questions? It's vague to me now lol

Because the equation was like v / 6. 9.9/ 6 is around 5/3, which is around 1.67777.. If you looked at the chart, at 500 whatever, the H was at around 3 when it had to be less than 1.6777. I know this is very hazy but I am almost 100 percent sure that I got this question right, mainly because I had around 5 minutes to check the entire science section.

I second CNI about 3 elements survived. Though I don't remember how I did it I was confident then.

Yeah... I said that too. I remember going 9.9/6 is about 1.6 ish... and the chart at 500 was like 3.5 for one of them, but all the others were under. So it was three.

No...I believe that V/6 was what the chart already listed? So, you wouldn't have to divide the number again

I could be wrong...probably actually seeing as the number of people who got 3 elements is greater than those who got 4.

ill back you up with none of them leaving the atmosphere. The table specifically said Jupiter's V/6 = 9.9. NONE of the four atoms had a speed that was greater than this, thus none of them left the atmosphere of Jupiter.

oh and was one of the answers like company's not companies

yea that was the only one that makes sense I think it was C?

Yup it was...

Yeah, so the controversy for the elements question is whether or not the table depicted the values of Ve or Ve/6.

edit - rainynightstarz, you can't really argue with that website because you're not sure if the measurement was taken under conditions of 500 degrees. Apparently Jupiter's average surface temperature, if you want to factor knowledge from outside sources, is about-121 º C

SO what do you guys think? I think this was a bit easier (except reading) than last one.

I'm not sure what the curve will be...=</p>

I pray to God that the science curve doesn't take off 2 points for 1 question wrong haha...

I thought everything was easier except the English section, but I always think I do worse than I actually do. Oh well. Watch this time be different. :(

Wow, I can't believe everyone thought math was EASIER! I didn't get to the last 5 or so questions. Different strokes for different folks I guess...

When I took it in June I finished my math (that's when I got my 33! woot! I only took it once more because the school payed for it and I definitely got lower this time). Maybe it was harder for me because I was kind of lax about it this time.

Science was typical...well as in June.

Reading bleh! That first passage was super long and I ended having to rush/skim the last one!!!

And English was same as always it seemed...Maybe a little easier.

Yeah I wasn't thinking at the time...I'm such an idiot...:(

It was definitely 3 elements

English was ultra lamerz.

English/Reading/Math were good.

Science, as always, sucked. : (. But I think I did better than last time, so all's well!

i really dont see how it could be 3 elements, the chart already indicated that V/6 was given. i honestly think it was 4 elements

Yep, the chart definitely indicated Ve/6 so therefore none of the elements would have escaped.
