***SEPTEMBER 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

Essay was dumb. Splitting viewpoints three ways was too complex and too much to get to in 40 mins.

@breezyjo that’s how you spell forty.

anyone got AUNT HELEN BECK reading passage ugh…

@ifizzle321 yes that was weird

did you address all three viewpoints or just picked one and run with it?

@mark1970 I addressed all three.

@mark1970 I just pick the points I agree/ disagree in each viewpoint and include them in my own essay

Curve predictions?

Tried to talk about all three bc i didn fully agree with any of em

The curve on the reading and science needs to be generous. Does anyone else feel that the ACT is getting harder?

English: Solid
Math: WTH
Reading: Ugh
Science: Meh

Anyone feel me?

Math and science were better this time than April

@farfarawaykontes I found English, Math, and Reading very easy. However, I was’t able to finish the science test. I guessed on 4 questions. And the conflicting viewpoints passage was different. In addition to two hypotheses, they also did an experiment. So it was harder.

@bluecatch I feel the same way, but it was my first and only time taking the ACT

I was surprised that the reading test (form 70D) didn’t have a dual passage section.

So many typos throughout this test!

English: Easiest
Math: Easier than June ACT, but the last ~15 were really difficult and held me up.
Reading: I started falling asleep at this point. Kinda confusing with the two passages.
Science: Harder than June ACT… It actually asked specifics about science that tested our knowledge, right? O.o

MODERATOR’S NOTE: YOU CANNOT DISCUSS SPECIFIC QUESTIONS.

spoke to my daughter, who is not feeling very well. She said feels like a moron…she froze and panicked on the essay. Hoping for a nice curve on essay because of the new format.

Curve predictions anyone?

Science test focused on more actual science than previous tests. Thought it went Ok Definitely not easy. English was good.

Math was very hard, specifically the last 12. Got to them all, and i think i pieced together logical answers.

Reading could go either way.

I think for math. 59-60 for 36. 58 for 35 etc
