I heard my friend’s testing room might have been set up wrong- there were people seated next to each other, two by two, shoulder to shoulder. The examiner told them that it was ok (but was young and seemed inexperienced) but when she got home, my friend realized that in some websites it says test takers have to be three feet apart. Now she’s flipping out. Will the scores get canceled?
@alpha101 I talked with some of my friends about it after… LOL I’m on the edge of laughing and crying hysterically at the same time… I’ve prepared so long and so hard for the ACTs (I’m a senior now…)
English: Pretty Easy—Had to rush in the last 5 questions because our test proctor gave us only 40 minutes…she could barely speak english and read the directions.
Math: Last couple were hard, other than that went by smoothly
Reading: Was so hard imo some of the passages were confusing.
Science: Considerably easier than previous practice tests I have taken. I’m pretty sure I had the easier science test.
@2ne1islife lol i didn’t actually write about her tho haha i didn’t want to offend my judges. i was THINKING about it, but i didn’t.
For the first time ever, I did not completely finish a section: Reading. Passages were long, confusing, and confusing. Hoping for a good curve on that one…
*boring not confusing lol
are we ever allowed to discuss answers or do we have to wait until scores come out?
As I understand it, you’re never allowed to discuss answers.
@seahawks1212 as far as I know, if it’s a test where the TIR is available (not this one), then you are allowed to discuss questions after the test is released. Otherwise, I think never…
@divinery Welp! Now I’m thinking if it’s going to offend the person who reads mine!
i wrote about same-sex marriage, desegregation, and the lady in kentucky.
does writing about things that others don’t give u a kinda better score…? or will the fact that i wrote about a controversial issue going to harm me…?
@idkName Believe its October one
@ThatAPesExamTho Could go either way depending on political leanings of the reader. I wouldn’t sweat over it, though.
@divinery I actually did mention her, but I took a neutral stance. Funny coincidence that everyone used Civil Rights as an example. I also referenced the female suffrage movement and The Giver
english- idk
math- pretty hard
reading- easy but I took too long
science - hard in regards to the timing, not the actual questions.
Essay - I’m so mad at myself for choosing Letter of Birmingham Jail and the Civil Rights movement over John Locke (Two Treatises of Government) and comparing the American/ English Revolutions since everyone did the former. AUGH Why did I go for the easier one when the second one was so much better in hindsight?
I’m going to beat myself up for this… I probably got a 33-34 for math. No math score is really worth mentioning unless it’s 36.
How was the science section for you? I also took the 73D form and I found science a little bit more challenging compared to the practice tests that I’ve taken
Which form did you take? I took 73D and skipped like 5 questions on english
@Hermit9 wait so the reader’s political leanings affect scores (if you write about stuff such as same-sex marriage)? that shouldn’t be fair… i think they should read it from a neutral standpoint… oh well
I only got to 45 and guessed randomly on the rest!!! SO NERVOUS!!
