oh and did anyone else feel like the science section was harder than in june? i got a 32 in june for science but i think i did WAY worse this time. in general i found today’s test difficult… hoping i broke the 30s…
@puregritaf nice! lol. i think the female suffrage movement was a good one, i should’ve mentioned it
Does anyone think I could still pull a 30 with a 48-49?
I’m guessing there will be a very generous curve.
English- pretty good
Math- SUPPPER hard! randomly guessed 15
Reading- pretty good
Science- easier than usual but randomly guessed the last two
New essay question was fun: i did intro, proved my argument, refuted the other two
Really hoping for that nice curve
Also, I meant the math section when I was talking about 48-49.
I’m sure I got 3 wrong based on review. Maybe 5-6 in the 50’s and maybe 1-2 random silly errors.
So I’m hoping for a 49-50 on math. Someone tell me I have a chance at a 30 lol!
Got one real 10-minute break after the Math section.
Scored 32 in June, and I feel horrible after taking this test. Aimed for a 34 but I don’t think I performed well enough. I didn’t have enough time for reading, and had to guess on like 1-2 for science
english - easy
math - easy except for last 3 q’s (somewhat generous curve)
reading - not good (I do expect a generous curve)
science - ehhh (somewhat generous curve)
@Inject9 Are you talking about for the math section? I was talking to my dad and we predicted the curve to be about
60-57: 36
56: 35
55-54: 34
53-52: 33
51: 32
50: 31
49-48: 30
Although neither of us really know what we’re doing this is purely just for fun and totally not official in any way. This is also assuming they do give math a very very generous curve this time around. In any case, I hope you get your 30!
I love how the science section is now 6 passages. On practice tests, I would usually miss 5-10 questions because of the time constraint. Today, I probably missed 3 questions at most.
form 73d,
guessed on last math question, everything else was okay… I didn’t have that much of a time crunch since I have a habit of rushing myself in the beginning so that I’m more relaxed/less panicked towards the end.
also wrote about civil rights movement… specifically black panthers, MJK, rosa parks, concept of “civil disobedience”
put in Gandhi in there too a bit.
aiming for a 34… but this is the only time I’ve taken it (last time was in 7th grade for this camp)
@Inject9 On one of the Real ACT tests, a 49/60 in math is a 30 (which is a really generous curve)…
Considering that today’s math section was apparently the hardest ACT math section in existence, you might have a shot
I’m keeping my fingers cross that my guessing skills will pay off!
I’m hoping ACT gives a really ,really generous curve based on the amount of people who said the same about the last 15-20.
73D as well. I found it incredibly difficult to finish the science on time, started pooping my pants 5 minutes before the end with 15 questions left. There were so many questions where none of the answers would be scientifically accurate to me, from a scientific perspective…
First amendment was a major talking point of my essay IIRC.
@blargenshmargen got 35 on Apirl, then 29 in June. Idk why
I saw another predicted curve that was similar to you and your dad’s!
Hopefully ACT puts the curve in that range. I’m really hoping for a 30 though I’m mad about my silly mistakes,2-3…
The wait is agonizing ,even when it’s only been a couple of hours. I’m not sure If I can live like this ,knowing that this 30 means everything to me.
Someone interpret a potential score?
E: -2
M: -5/6
R: -5/6
S: -6/7
@inTheVomitorium
after taking a bunch of science tests (bc it was actually my worst section), I learned that I need to not use my own knowledge from school and go straight by what the passage said… I would find myself arguing from different view points, but the graphs/tables usually straight up give you the answer, even if it seems weird.
Guys, test scores aren’t something to stress about. College apps are so much more than that.
Hahaha your Harvard and Ivy dreams are over. Gusss you are gonna have to settle with BEEKELEY
