***SEPTEMBER 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

Got a 25 last September, looking to improve to the mid 30’s.

@Kat2016 Yes.

I’m also taking ACT in this September. I’m already a senior which means this is one of my “last” chance to take.
Ironically I took no SAT but only one ACT(in April… got a composite score of 30). I really want to get over 34 so I’m planning to follow this thread to learn some tips and news on the new ACT. Good luck for everyone :slight_smile:

I need to increase my score till 33. Current score: 27.
Already used PR 1296 and The Red book. Currently using Barrons.
Any other books to use?

For the June test I got a 26C, I used the Red Book and McGrawHill’s ACT book. I’m lacking in skill mainly on reading and science and my english and math is decent, but the scores aren’t changing.Any other books that would help that or any tips?

I also need at least a 30C for the September one

I took the ACT twice and improved my score from a 28 to a 35. I can post what I did to get up there if it’ll help some of you!

Sure @afamelas

Taking it in Sept as a senior. Using PrepScholar. Any other tips would be great. Worst section was reading

Highest composite is a 31, trying to get a 33-35 this go around.

@afamelas sure please help me! any tips or anything, I also scored 28 in June and I planned to retake in Sep. My lowest score was in English, just 24. Really have no idea why it was that low. Btw pls give me all the tips you have. I really really need to push my score in 30. Just 30. 31 is even in my wildest dream :(((

@nthluongcnn @ZainSD I posted a thread :slight_smile:

@afamelas thank you i wil def check it out

are there any books to prep for the new writing section for Sept 2015 test

Need to increase 27 composite to at least a 32 (preferably a 34) for scholarship purposes.
Science is my killer. Got a 22 last time :frowning:
And for math I’m too slow.

I need some sources to prep for the math.
@UnicornDuchess focus on the graphs and data and interprets, i ignore those little passages.

Would like any math book/prep recommendations as well.

I just bought Barrons 36 and am using Princeton review, hoping for a 30+ this September! :slight_smile:

I need to increase my 28 Composite to a 32 or 33, I need some tips

Is the PR ACT 2015 any good? I need to increase my score and am currently using real practice tests.

I got a 28 and I’m really hoping for a 30. Any tips for the math and science ?
