September 2017 ACT Discussion Thread

So for starters…anyone else nervous?

yesss im super nervous! it’s my first time taking it and i have no time to practice

Not as bad as I feared. I ran out of time on the math section - just like I did the first time, but, oh well. I’m hoping for a 30+ and I think I could’ve achieved it.

I think I did okay on English, Math, and Science. Reading was good, but the dual passage slowed me down. Also ran out of time so I had to guess on the last question ;(

I felt the science and reading went well, but math I was running short on time. Hoping for anything from 32+…This is only my second time taking it tho… Does anyone know what day it comes out? They said 5-8 weeks, but I feel like it came out sooner for the June test.

My D also ran out of time on math. Sounds too common and out of whack !

@“WVOR357$” the first wave of scores should be out September 19th. ACT is usually very good with getting scores out quickly

I actually was able to get through it all! Everything was definitely very rushed, though, so I didn’t get time to check all my answers. I was mostly short on time in math.

they usually come out the 2nd Tuesday following the test. I know that it is supposedly 1am EST on that Tuesday, so for PST it is 10pm on Monday night!

What does everyone think the curve will be for each section?

Ran out of time on math…eh. This was my last chance at the ACT for my ED1 school. I’m high key trying to keep my sanity.

literally my last chance to take it. I barely had enough time… i need above a 30… no confident…

Soooo ready for the scores to come out… This was my first time taking the ACT and it didn’t necessarily go according to plan. I was sick, had a watch malfunction, and was trying not to have a panic attack the majority of the time. All that being said, however, I still feel like somehow I did as well as I’ve been doing on my practice tests (I got a 28 and two 29s) or maybe a little better, but I really have no clue. I would love to get up to a 32ish, but not sure if that’s gonna happen as I only have one more chance to take it before applying for colleges.
I had some content issues with math (per usual) and the science section seemed to have more questions that required previous knowledge than the practice tests I’ve taken. I still finished them in time though. I actually made it to the conflicting viewpoints science passage this time with plenty of time which was a miracle! English and Reading were pretty easy and what I expected. I was stressed about the writing, but I actually loved the prompt and felt really good about it.
The test is mostly a blur now though so I really don’t know how I did. Lol.

I just want to know already! Ugh. Here’s hoping my scores come out this Tuesday!

@kayboola Check your test status. My son’s ACT has changed form registered to tested. So I’m pretty sure it will come out tomorrow.

@MichiganGeorgia I just checked and mine says tested too! So glad I don’t have to wait much longer now.

Status is tested. I have homework & a test to study for…how will I concentrate [-O<

remember that they come out at 1am EST tomorrow…For many that is tonight at 10PST or 11CST

@MichiganGeorgia Where do we find the test status at?

Does anyone know if scores are released later if you did the essay?

This is what the website says, but it’s a little confusing. “Score reports for the ACT are normally processed and posted online within 2 to 8 weeks after the test date…If you took the ACT with writing, your scores will be released only after all your scores are available, including writing, normally about 2 weeks after your multiple-choice scores.”

Does that mean we might have to wait another 2 weeks?

@LvMyKids2 1 am EST is midnight central
