Ok.. I am doing early for GT, but I wanted to make this sure.
I got my September ACT score but I didn't get my essay score yet, although I'm sure I'll get it in one week or at least in two weeks.
If this is the case, should I put another test score from the past that already has the essay score with it?
I'm asking this because my only past test score is from the March SAT test, which I didn't do so good. If I don't have to put it, I would prefer not putting it on my application, although I know they will superscore it.
My question is, if I only put my September ACT score with just section scores, without the writing (essay) score, would there be any problem or any kind of disadvantage I would get (by not having the score ready for right now)? If not, do I just put the English score and the Math score in the application and leave the writing score space blank?

Yes, put your SAT score on there. It would be better to have it all filled in (with the writing score) before your new ACT score is put in the system. Don’t worry, though, if you mark that you took the September ACT, they will put it straight in and will consider only the highest scores - they literally only see the highest scores for each section on the screen

Thanks for the reply cshumate!

So, you mean I should put my SAT score on the application even if it’s really bad, right?
Should I at least put the section scores of my ACT test (leaving only the writing part blank) along with the SAT score also then, or just don’t fill out any score of ACT?

Also, I’m not really sure what sections of SAT are compatible with which sections of ACT.
Obviously, math section of the SAT would be matched with the math section of the ACT, but then how does both reading and writing sections of the SAT converts to English section of the ACT? Do they combine them together?

No problem :). Yes, you should put the SAT score so at least one full set of scores is on the application. I can’t remember exactly how it’s worded, but on my application they converted the combined English/writing score on the ACT into an SAT score. I’ll get back to you on that in a few hours, but don’t worry. After you create the account to track your application, it shows you how things are converted.
