sfsu vs. sjsu vs. ssu

Which one is the better university considering this info:

-I'm planning on being a pre-med student
-I want to go to the more respected school
-I want to graduate in 4 years
-I want to have a great social life
-I want to major in either biology or biochemistry
-I live in the east bay area and want to visit family on weekends, but don't want to live at home
-I don't want to be overly stressed during college

Thanks for helping me.

Hello, I will be attending SSU this fall and will also go premed.

While all those three campuses are considered to be impacted, SFSU and SJSU
are currently severely impacted. Especially SFSU. Nonetheless, SFSU has a good
Bio. program, but graduating in 4 years may be hard at the moment. I chose SSU
because of the small class sizes it offers; you will get to know more people as well
as your professor.

I also reside in the bay area, so its not a long ride home.

Unfortunately, I don’t know much about SJSU.

SSU sounds like it fits most your criteria the best.

The reality is that SJSU, SSU and SFSU are not that different in terms of national ranking or local prestige. (The exception would be SJSU for Engineering, which is fairly well regarded even on a national level.)

SJSU is pretty much a commuter college with massively impacted classes. It is located downtown and I’ve never liked the feel of it. The new King Library is shared with the downtown public and that has never appealed to me either. And with 25,000 students, well, SJSU is just a huge urban college.

SSU is smaller, located on a bigger patch of green land, not too far from your family, and I believe less “commuter college” – more chance of a bit of college campus life.

That’s just my take on it.
