Fun!

Oh I so love both those shows!! I could easily watch them every year and not get tired of them. (Except for the movie version of Les Mis; that doesn’t count; ugh! ) You will have an amazing time!!

She will LOVE Les Mis! First preview night happened to coincide w/my Ds last trip to NYC for her LAMDA/RADA auditions - she got to chat w/Cameron Macintosh in the theatre before the show began. She said he was very nervous and said what a shame it was that most people’s favorite show of his is his saddest show. I’d never thought of that. Whatever the results may turn out to be of her audition; as far as she was concerned the trip was worth it!

@bisouu, I want your friend to be my friend. Excellent connections you have there. :-)

Someone on the FB page has received an email from Syracuse for acting. Looks like Syracuse has started notifying!

I am extremely honored and thrilled to share that my son was accepted into LAMDA.

Oh, Connections…hurray…hurray! Was it by post or phone or email? We would love to hear from them! Sooooo happy for your son. Wondering if the choice is going to be difficult for him. Have you visited?

Wow, Connections, how wonderful!!

MsMommy, it was a phone call. No, we haven’t visited-- But my son did spend 4 weeks this summer at RCS taking their excellent classes.

Congratulations, Connections!

Syracuse does their notifications in waves late on Friday afternoons in March. Last year there were four of them and we were in the very last one, April 7th, I think. Acceptances, rejections and WLs are randomly distributed, so it means NOTHING if you were not in the first wave (or the second, or the third…) This is the one that killed me last year, so much stress every Friday. (And then S got WL, which was a whole other story.)

connections - you don’t need to visit LAMDA! Not sure if you know but they are planing wonderful brand new facilities for the end of 2015.

Connections, that is terrific. That is where my D goes and is so thrilled there!

Called Hartt wanting to get an ETA on acceptance/rejections. Lovely woman said that this year they received an incredible amount of applications. More than any year before. She said letters have already started to go out and we should hear no later than April but probably sooner.

@jkellynh17 - there’s been an edit to the Syracuse post and now it is dated Mar 7, which was a Friday and it was a rejection… so looks like Syracuse is holding to the Friday release times

Good luck with that, Dramamom0804…hope you’re in the next wave.

Probably indicates Syracuse is not sending in audition order, as my D auditioned on the first audition date.

No, she said that they didn’t make decisions based on audition order and that rejections and acceptances are going out at the same time.

I’ve never been a snoopy mom UNTIL NOW. I really really want to go into my S room and check his email for him. I think I need (more) therapy.

My D is relatively calm through all of this. She does not want any details on when it is likely that we will hear from a school. She’s wandering around in ignorant bliss, and I have the e-mail login, and I am turning into a wackadoodle. :-S
