I got onto FB last spring, because I was pretty sure my son would post his acceptances before he told me. It’s just that their lives are so much more interesting than ours. :)

Do fat envelopes travel slower than skinny ones?

Le sigh.
Another day with no news. Perhaps we should start considering the possibility that they are all going to be nos. Seems like nos generally notify later than yeses. He only applied to a handful of schools, we knew so little coming into this! Grrrrrrrrr!

Don’t give up @Octaviar! It depends on the school which order envelopes come in. It’s not over until you get a rejection! No letter remains better than a rejection letter.

@dramamom0804 Wackadoodle? I can totally relate! ha!

I’m thinking the same thing @Octaviar we have heard nothing…

Yeah that’s me I am so distracted by this! It’s my busy time for my part time job which is good, because it keeps me busy but could be bad if I am making distracted mistakes! Lol
And hey!! The app for CC on the iPhone is finally working!

The problem folks is one of expectations. NONE of these schools are late in notifying. Last I checked… it is not April 1st yet. I’d know. That’s my birthday. Please send lots of presents.

I can spin the fact that you haven’t heard from X school in many positive ways. Let me give you a few to work with:
- they are working hard on sending your acceptance with merit money and that takes longer to figure out since it involves a few more signatures.
- the fat envelopes don’t travel as fast by mail because they require special handling
- they are not “sure” yet about you but you are still in the running which is way better than already being out.
- the mascot ate the envelope
7.

Stopping at 7 because that’s a lucky number.

You do know that over in regular college land, that place where it’s the black and white version of the Wizard of Oz instead of the colored Emerald City… where people want to major in biology, economics, computer science, people are also waiting. Bored of waiting but waiting… and not reading anything into radio silence the way you all are here. By my calendar it is March 11th.

The drug addict who stole my phone bill also stole her admittance letter

The ungodly heatwave CA has been having made the letter spontaneously combust

It’s not April 1

Chapman decisions to go out on Friday. Acceptances will be mailed USPS- rejections will be emailed. Emails may be delayed a few days by their system but should be received by the end of the weekend. Fingers crossed for an envelope!!

My daughter’s Chapman portal says “Decision Reached”….

Yes- all decisions should have been reached. Seems like torture to know they have made a decision but won’t tell until Friday!! Only rejections get an email BUT they may not come on Friday- may take a few days. Acceptance envelopes will come when the USPS brings them. Just keeping my fingers crossed for no email. My D doesn’t want to know any of these details so I hyperventilate alone…

Fingers crossed for your daughters, bisouu and hermomma! My D loved Chapman! It’s a great school to be accepted to.

@notactingmom is your D still waiting on any schools? Has she decided yet?

Thank you notactingmom. It was one of her favorites. Still waiting on 7 schools. This is agonizing!!

I heard more kids applied for the theater department this year than for the film program…

Dramamom… I still can’t download the app… How did u do it?

The wait is killin’ me. We are still waiting on 8 schools. Ugh. I know I shouldn’t wish these wonderful days away but it’s so stressful especially given my Type A planner personality. My D is a laid back Type B so I think she’s dealing with this uncertainty better than I am. Lol.

Never mind :)

Every night now I think … tomorrow, tomorrow we will hear something … and I feel comforted knowing I’ll be able to start moving forward on some of the footwork. That is part of what’s making me batty. Not being able to DO anything. We’re going to have a very small window to do the research on money, travel etc. and if even one school would give us some info we could start getting that mountain of work going.

Tomorrow… perhaps tomorrow is the day.

“Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow…”
