Should I apply EA or RD given my projected senior grades?

My question is mainly geared toward applying to Tulane and other schools that I already am competitive in but could potentially look stronger. I have a 3.67 unweighted GPA (4.5 weighted) and have received 6 Bs during high school so far (I'm a junior). 5 of those 6 Bs were received in sophomore year because of issues that I will ask my counselor to note (although they're not anything significant like a family member dying, so it won't make that much of a difference). Anyways, I've gotten all As during freshman year and only 1 B during junior year taking all honors/AP classes.

I don't expect my senior classes to be significantly easier, but I suspect that if I work as hard as I do this year, I'll probably end up with all As or only 1 B (calculus). That would raise my unweighted GPA to a 3.72 and weighted to a 4.55. That's not much, but I think it'll demonstrate my upward curve from sophomore year.

So what do you think-- should I apply EA to the "safety/match" schools with my current GPA or wait and apply RD to those? Or will it not matter much at all? Please consider that some schools have a higher acceptance rate for EA applicants than RD. Thanks!

Apply EA to your reach schools. I think Tulane would likely be a safety for you, but it will depend on what your SATs are....what were your PSATs?

Tulane is safe for you :D

dont apply to college. its overrated. half the people end up workin at mcd's anywayz brah

Apply EA, and if deferred, you can always send in a mid-year score report. This way you have the opportunity to get the applications out of the way, but you can still improve your scores.

Got a 2040 (1360 CR+M) on SAT first time I took it, but I'm going to retake it in March.

Tulane is very much a safety. You probably will get some great merit aid from them too.
